My heart broke when I heard about Joe passing away. I was his roommate, in our junior and senior years, at Ohio University. Joe was a funny, intelligent, and warm-hearted guy. I really enjoyed our time together. God bless you Joe, my prayers will be with you.

I only just now learned of this and am saddened for you all. I had a lot of respect for Joe Allen and enjoyed working with him for 26 years. I wish comfort for you.

Mary, Billy & Mike & all the rest of the family. I am so sorry for your loss. I really liked Joe he was a great boss and friend. I would never have expected him to be taken from us so soon. I apologize for not sending my condolences sooner but I was in Italy and did not have access to my work email, which is where I was notified by the JMA team.

Mary,
We are so sorry for your loss of a great man and friend, Joe. Having lost Paulette and you and Joe were the first people to reach out and help with anything we needed.
The size and scope of the family, friends and work associates that you and Joe accumulated over a lifetime are in the same state of shock that we are in right now. God bless you
and your large extended family at this time and the next day, week, month and beyond. You have a lifetime of great memories with a man who was always the life of any party
or event he attended. I feel very blessed and lucky to have called him a friend for as many years as I knew him.

I will always be appreciative of Joe's kindness and support throughout my life. Memories I have of Joe range from my early years in Albuquerque to Joe's encouragement when I was an engineering student at UC and throughout my career to recent years when Joe would check in just to see how I was doing.
I am grateful for the connections and memories the McCormick and Allen families have shared over many decades. Joe will be missed.

I am greatly saddened to hear that Joe passed away. My family and I will remember Joe and his family in our prayers. He was one of the truely good guys in our class of 1975. I was a track teammate of Joe's at Elder and remember him running the distance events. He was a great athlete and competitor. I can't recall a time when Joe wasn't smiling. He was a kind and compassionate man. I was lucky to have known him.
