Allgyer, Donald L., Beloved husband of 38 years to the late Carole J. Allgyer (nee Keller). Loving Father of Christine (Dan) Hayes, Scott Allgyer (Bill Chappie), Katherine (Mike) Dixon and the late Todd Allgyer. Devoted Grandfather to Mathew, Molly, Cameron, Carolena, Alexandria, Abigail and Jacob. Dear Brother of Mary Ellen (Dick) Geiger. Also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as other family and longtime friends.

Don crossed over peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at 85 years of age. Family will begin greeting guests at 9:15 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial on SATURDAY, September 25th at St. Monica–St. George Church, 328 W. McMillan Avenue in Clifton at 10:00 AM. The family asks that independent of vaccine status – to please wear masks at the visitation and service.

Following the funeral mass, burial will be at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery at 810 Neeb Road, 45238. At this time, the family would welcome shared memories of Don. Don was born in Dayton, OH on April 3,1936 to Marie and Byron Allgyer. He graduated from Chaminade-Julienne High School in Dayton and went on to graduate from the University of Cincinnati in 1959 with a degree in Accounting and Economics. While at UC he was a starting lineman for the College Football team and remained an athlete throughout his life. Don completed his CPA and worked with the General Accounting Office in the Federal Government for 37 years.

Don's priorities were always Faith and Family. He and his loving wife Carole instilled these values in their children creating a close knit immediate and extended family. Although at times a man of few words, he always counseled his family to let go of what you cannot control and to offer your troubles up to God. Don was an avid Fisherman and enjoyed trying his luck in Las Vegas as time allowed. He will be deeply missed by his family, his friends and all who knew him.
