LANGENBRUNNER Guy, 88 years old, was born in Covington, Kentucky to Louis and Alma (Sauer) Langenbrunner on September 18, 1930. He graduated from Elder High School in 1948 where he played football. He loved music and played saxophone in his family band. He served in the US Army during the Korean War in the 101st US Airborne as well as Military Police. Returning home, he began G&G Langenbrunner Masonry Company with his brother, a family business for 62 years. His passions were many but topped by the love of his life, his wife Del of 64 years and his family. They spent most of their time building a prize-winning landscaped yard. He was an outgoing, fun-loving, and generous servant where he volunteered at St. Antoninus Church community, William Schott Memorial Association, Santa Maria, Holy Family Food Pantry, and as a Parkinson's Board Member among others. He had two brothers: James and George and four sisters: Jane (Gilkey), Surilla "Sue" (Bubenhofer), Mary (Mercurio), and Lolly (Jung). He is survived by his devoted wife Del, four children: Sandy Rueve, Chicago, Illinois, Lori Schusterman, Katy, Texas, Greg (Lynn) Cincinnati, and Doug (Ann) Newark, Ohio, and 11 grandchildren: Andrew, Alexandra, Asher (Cara), Elizabeth (Matt), Katlin, Gabriel, Gerad, Grant, Lindsey, Nicole, and Kyle. Visitation will be held at Schaeper Center at Elder High School, 4005 Glenway Ave (entrance is at Glenway ONLY), on Wednesday, January 2 at 4-8:00 pm, and the Funeral Mass will be held at St. Antoninus Church, 1500 Linneman Rd., on Thursday, January 3 at 10:30 am. Funeral services are arranged by Meyer Funeral Home on Bridgetown Rd. Contributions may be made to the Guy Langenbrunner Scholarship Fund at Elder High School.
